AN ORDINANCE ASfENDING GRDINANCE N0. 147 OF THL' COUNTY OF HA'~lAII 1954,
AS A2".ENDED, B7[ AtvIENDING SECTIONS 57, 62 AND 69, AND BY ADDING SECTION
125.01, PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION OF TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS
AND HIQitiYAYS OF THE COUNTY OF HAVdAII.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII:
That Ordinance No. 147 of the County of Hawaii 1954, as amended, is
hereby further amended in the following respects:
Section 1. Subsections (b), (c) and (h) of Section 57, as amended,
is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"(b) HAILS STREET. All vehicular traffic shall move only
from makai to mauka between Kamehameha Avenue and Halal
Street, between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on
school days.
(c) HALAL STREET. All vehicular traffic shall move only
from Puna to Hamakua, between Haili Street and Waia-
nuenue Street, between the hours of 7:15 a•m. and 8:15
a.m. on school days.
(h) WAIANUENU'~ STREET. All vehicular traffic shall move
only from mauka to makai between Halal Street and
Kamehameha Avenue between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and
8:15 a.m. on school days."
Section 2. Subsection (a} of Section 62, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding Paragraph 15 to read as follows:
"15. Entering Iwasaki Camp - Happy Home Road intersection
from the Cambra Dairy Road from a northwesterly di-
rection."
Section 3. Paragraph 6, Subsection (b) o£ Section b9, as amended,
is hereby further amended by adding Subparagraph "i" to read as fol-
lows:
"i. Hawaii Belt Road in Kukaiau Village from Kainehe Stream
to Dmewai Bridge."
Section 4. Section 125.01 is hereby added after Section 125 to
read as follows:
"Section 125.01. Opening //and closing vehicle doors.

reasonably safe to do so, nor shall any person leave a door
open on any side of a vehicle available to moving traffic
for a period of time longer than necessary to load or un-
load passengers."
Section 5• This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
