AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 147 OF TH:; COUNTY OF HA;!iAII 1954,
AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 18, 21, 22, 61, 62 AND 69, PERTAINING
TO THE REGULATION OF TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGIf1dAYS OF
THE COUA`TY OF HAih'AII.
BE IT ORDAINS BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN PND FOR THE COUNTY CF
HAGVAII:
That Ordinance No. L~7 of the County of Hawaii 1954, as amended, is
hereby further amended in the following respects: .;~
Section 1. Paragraph 3, Subsection (a) of Section 18, as amended,
is hereby further amended to read as follows:
°3. ~~dithin an intersection, except where designated by
parking stalls."
Section 2. Subsection (j) of Section 21, as amended, is hereby
further amended to read as follows:
"(j) Cn the mauka side of Alii Drive, in Kailua, Kona, from
Palani Road to the marked crosswalk in the vicinity of
the Iikana Lane intersection."
Section 3. Section 22, as amended, is hereby further amended by
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
"(c) Two-hour parking areas:
1. Haili Street, from Kinoole Street to Ululani
Street.
2. Ululani Street, from Haili Street to the Hilo
Hotel property."
Section 4: Paragraph 45, Subsection (c) of Section 61, as amended,
is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"45. bianono Street, from itamehamoha Avenue to Kawili Street,
except at Kekuanaoa Street and Lanikaula Street."
Section 5. Subsection (a) of Section 62, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding Paragraphs 16, 17 and 18 to read as follows:
"16. Entering the Ualehua Street intersection from Pilialoha
Street from a southerly direction.
17. Entering Ualehua Street~r m Puuko Street.

18. Entering the intersectio oqf the Captain Cook Coffee

Company (Robert "ind, Ltd.) subdivision roadways,
in Kaawaloa, Kona, from a northerly direction."
Section 6. Paragraph b, Cubsection (b) of Section 69, as amended,
is hereby further amended by adding Subparagraph "j" to read as fol-
lows:
+'j. Hawaii Belt Woad in Kona, from the end of FAP 8-G
(Captain Cook) to the beginning of FAP 8-D (Honaunau)."
Section 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

COUNTY OF HAWAII ORDINANCE NO. 190
Pursuant to the provisions of section 144-35 of the
Revised Laws of Hawaii 1955, as amended by Act 38,
Session Laws of Hawaii 1957, notice is hereby given
that county of Hawaii ordinance No. 190 (Bill No. 1),
entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 147 OF
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1954, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING
SECTIONS 18, 21, 22, 61, 62 and 69. PERTAINING TO THE
REGULATION OF TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND
HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII" which was introduced
at the meeting of the board of supervisors of the county
of Hawaii on June 5, 1957, passed final reading on
June 10, 1957, and copies of same are on file in the
office of the county clerk.
Ordinance No. 190 amends ordinance No. 147, as amended,
in the following respects:
1. Allows parking within intersections when parking.
stalls are designated.
2. Allows parking along the Kailua Seawall on the
makai side instead of the mauka side.
3. Provides two hour parking on:
(a) Haili Street between Kinoole Street and
Ululani Street.
(b) Ululani Street between Haili Street and
Hilo Hotel property.
4. Makes the Kekuanaoa-Manono Streets intersection a
four-way stop intersection.
5. Provides that motorists shall stop at the following
intersections:
(a) Entering Ualehua Street intersection from
Pilialoha.
(b) Entering Ualehua Street from Puuko Street.
(c) Entering Captain Cool~p~offee Company
subdivision roads ilk section from a

6. Creates 45 miles p~~c~~our zone along-Hawaii Belt
Road between Capta}n, Cook and HonauRau.
