AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 188 OF THE ORDINANCES
OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, RELATING TO THE POWERS AND DUTIES
OF THE MANAGING COMMITTEE OF THE HILO CIVIC AUDITORIUM. ,,
1. Ordinance No. 188 of the Ordinances of the County
of Hawaii 1957 is hereby amended in the following respect:
Section 1. Section l} of said Ordinance No. 188 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section L}. Powers and duties. The Managing
Committee shall have the following powers and duties:
1. It shall be the duty of the Managing Committee
to act in an advisory capacity to the board of supervisors
in and concerning ell matters pertaining to the operation,
management and maintenance of the Hilo Civic Auditorium
and the areas and buildings adjacent thereto (including
the existing and proposed parking areas, proposed new
buildings and all adjacent areas extending to the proposed
new highway in the proposed Hoolulu Park Development plan).
2. The said Managing Committee shall assume and have
full charge of the conduct, management and control of the
said Auditorium and the said areas and buildings adjacent
thereto and shall, subject to the approval of the board
of supervisors, make such rules and regulations governing
the use thereof and the fees to be charged as it may be
deemed proper, and such rules and regulations shall be
posted in a conspicuous place on the premises of the said k ~'

3, The Managing Committee shall from time to time
as requested by the board of supervisors prepare and
present to the board an estimate of funds required for
the improvement, maintenance and upkeep of the premises
and shall make annual reports to the board of supervisors
respecting the affairs thereof as to finances, condition
of the property, the improvement, maintenance and upkeep
thereof, and shall make such other reports as the board
of supervisors shall desire.
(~, All monies received by the Managing Committee
from fees, donations or otherwise, shall be accounted for
and placed in a special account with the Treasurer of the
County of Hawaii to be and are hereby (together with such
other monies as may be appropriated) allotted and set
aside for the use of said Managing Committee in the
improvement, maintenance and upkeep of the said premises
and for such other expenses incidental thereto."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its approval. ~
