AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINAICE N0. 147 OF THE COGtdTY OF HAWAII 1954, AS
AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 25 AND 69, AND BY ADDING SECTIONS 119.01 AND
125.02, PERTAINING TU THE REGULATION OF TRAFFIC UPUN THE YL'BLIC STRh;ETS AND
HIC~i'~7AYS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.

That Ordinance No. 147 of the Qounty of Hawaii 1954, as amended, is hereby
further amended in the following respects:
Section 1. Subsection (a) of Section 25 amended to read as fcllows:
°(a) The department of public wor~s of the County of iiawaii is
hereby authorised and directed to establish, mark and desig-
nate, where there is an apparent need therefor, a consecutive
series of parking spaces for the parallel or angle parking
of motor vehicles."
Section 2. Subparagraph "1° of Paragraph 6, Subsection (b} of Section 69
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"1. Palani Woad in Kona, from Hawaii Belt ttoad to a point 1,000
feet mauka of Kuakini ]iighway."
Section 3. :; new section is hereby added after Section 119 tc read as
fcllows:
"Section 119.01. Trucks and Busses, restricted use of certain 11~
highways.
It shall be unlawful for any persoa operating a trucl: over
three-quarter ton capacity or any bus to descend Pa'-:alana Street
in Honokaa between Lehua Street and Kulcui Street."
Se;;tion 4. Section 1?.5.02 is hereb*~ added after Section 125.01 to read ~
as follows: .
"Section 125.02. Coast~ng prohibited.
The driver of ary motor ve!:icle, :hen travc_ing upon adown-
grade, shall not coast vrith the gears of such vehicles in neutral
cr with the clutch disengaged."
Section 5. 1^lis ordir;anee shall take effect ution its approval.
