ORDINANCE NO. 13
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CHILDREN UNDER SIX (6) YEARS OF
AC,E IN PUBLIC STREETS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF S[1PERVI~JRS OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII:
Section 1. No child under the age of six C6) years
shall he permitted to go or remain on any public street
or highway in the County of Hawaii, except in the company
of his parent, guardian or an adult person, provided,
this section shall not be appl~cahle where such child is
aoina to or from schools or .kindergartens, public or
private.
Section 2. Any parent or guardian, having the care,
custody and control of a child under the age of six (6)
years, who shall knowingly, voluntarily or carelessly
suffer or permit such child to go or remain on any public
street or highvaay in the County of Hawaii unaccompanied by
an adult person when such child is not going to or from
schools or kindergartens, public or private, shall be
punished by a fine of not less than five dollars and not
more than One Hundred Dollars.
