SECTIC)N 1. Definition. 4s rased in this Ordinance, "toy

by purchase, gift or otherwise, },oseess, use, operate or play with
a toy rifle; provided, however, any person under the acre of 18 years,
while under the immediate supervision of an adult, may possess, use,
overate or nlav with a toy rifle, provided further that it shall not
be ].awful for any such verson under the ape of 18 years, under any
circumstances, to possess, use, operate or play with a toy rifle in
anv public vl.ace, except while under such supervision upon a bona
fide public target range.
SECTION 3. Unlawful to Hermit any minor under the aje_of

Tt shall he unlawfu] for any F;arent, ~-uard~aYn or any of .e person
having the care, custody or control of any minor under the age of
18 to permit such minor to own, acquire by purchase, gift or other-
wise, possess, use, operate or play with a toy rifle, except as
otherwise vrovided in Section 2'of this Ordinance.

to sell, transfer or wive a toy rifle to any minor under the age
of 18.
SF,CTIC>N 5. Tov rifle forfe.ited_ when. All toy rifles owned,
carried or possessed contrary to this Jrc~nance shall be forfeited
to the County, and shall be destroyed or retained by the chief of
volice for use by and under the control of the police department.
SECTION 6. PENALTY. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be
punished by a fine not excee-ling One Hundred Dol]ars (~lOC~.00).
SECTZCIN 7, Severahility. If any provision hereof or the
anpl.ication thereof ~o anv person or circumstance is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or application
of this Ordinance which can he given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this and the provisions of this
!7rdinance are declared to he severable.
