erection 5. 4ssignment and rental.. 'dhenever any motor
vehicle, truck, fire fighting apparatus, steam roller,
equipment, machinery, implement or tool belonging to the
county of Hawaii. is assigned or rented to a department, a
proper charge shat) he made against such derartment for the
use of the same in accordance with a schedule of rates.
Section 6. Schedule of rates. Gn or before June 30
of each year the super;ntendent shall establish a schedule
of rates suhiect to the approval of the hoard of supervisors,
which shall. consist of rates chargeable against a derartment
fo.r the use of vehicles, egninment, machinery, implements or
tools. The .rates shall he determined on the ha s of cost,
R11 passenger automohilos shall he charged on t~~ basis of
actual. mileage traveled nr a minimum charge, whichever is
greater.
Section 7. ??ook,s. The business manager of the department
of public works sbal~ Peen the hooks for the division of
automotive equipment and motor pool. It shall be the duty of
the superintendent to furnisiz the business manager with
information concern i.n(-r the ~pPration of hi.s division in order
that proper charges may be made against the proper department
and fund for the cost of the service rendered by the division
of automotive equipment and motor pool..
Section 8. Revolving fiend fir motor pool. The sum of
X20,0(10.00 is hereby appropriated from money available in the
highway fund of the county of Hawaii for a fiend to be kno~n
as the motor pool revolving fund, from which fund the di.vision.
of automotive erniinment and motor Wool shall ray for all the
material., and supplies mentioned ~n paragraph (c) of Section 2.,
and for al l_ services performed i_n said motor pool. Tl~~e super-
intendent shall filc claims with the board of supervisors
