That Ordinance No. 147 of the County of Iiawaii 1954, as amended,
is hereby further amended in the following respect:
Section 1. Paragraph 1, Subparagraph (c) of Section 14 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"1. Vehicular traffic facing the signal shall step
before entering the crosswalk or. the near side of
the intersection, or, if none, then before entering
the intersection, and shall. remain standing un±il
Green or 'Go' is shown alone; provided however,
the driver of a vehicle which is stopped as close
as practicable at the entrance to the crosswalk on
the near side of the intersection or, if none, then
at the entrance to the intersection in obedi-ence to
a red or 'stop' signal, may make a right turn but
shall yield the right of way to pedestrians and
other traffic proceeding as directed by the signal
at said intersection. The 5oard of Supervisors may
by resolution prohibit any such right turn against
a red or 'stop' signal at anv intersection, provided
a sign is erected at such intersection giving notice
thereof."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
