COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
URDINANCE NO. 226
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 44, AS AMENDED,
RELATING TO THE PLANNING AND TRAFFIC COMMISSION.
BE ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII:
Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No, 44, Revised
Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1947, as amended,
is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"Section 2. Appointment; term of office.
The Planning and Traffic Commission of the
County of Hawaii shall consist of eleven (11)
members, with the Chairman and Executive
Officer of the Board of Supervisors, the
County Attoxney, the Chief of Police, Fixe
Chief and a representative from the Hawaii
County Department of Public Works as advisors;
the eleven (11) citizen members to be appointed
by the Chairman and Executive Officer of the
Board with the approval of the Board of
Supervisors who shall hold office fox three
(3 years or until their successors are
appointed and qualified; provided, howevex, that
of the first members appointed hereunder three
(3) shall be appointed for a term expiring
January 1, 1947, four (4) members for a term
expiring January 1, 1948, and four (4) members
for a term expiring January 1, 1949."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its approval.
