AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. ~5 OF THE ftEViSED
O.'2DINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HA'r1AII 1~E>0, AS AMENDED, BY
AMENDING SECTIONS 6~ and £33, PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION
OF TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS ANTJ HIGH'aJAYS OF "THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IIQ AND FO;: THE
COUTdTY GF HA'vdAII:
SECTIOTJ 1. That Ordinance No. 25 of the F.evised
Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1oj60, as amended, is
hereby further amended in the following respects:
(a) Subparagraphs "h" and "i" of Paragraph 1}, Subsection
(b) of Section 6~, as amended, is hereby deleted.

"(b) No pedestrian shall enter upon or cross
any road~s~ay or portion cf any roadway designated by
the Board of Supervisors as closed to pedestrian
traffic, except ~s/ithir: an authorized marked crosswallz,
or upon a Pedestrian overpass, or throuah a pedestrian
tunnel,
"The following roadways or portions of roadways
are hereby designated as closed tc pedestrian traffic:
1. Hawaii Belt Road in North Hilo, from the south end
of Hakalau Bridge to a point one-half mile south
from the Chin Chuck Road-Nfamal.ahoa Hiohway
intersection..
2. HasJaii Belt Road ir. South Hilo from the Kaieie
Homestead Road south to the Cnomea Sugar Mi11
Cane 1?aul ?toad in I'apaikou."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon it~~:
approval.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 25 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII 1960, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 69 AND 83, PERTAINING TO THE
REGULATION OF TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:

That Ordinance No. 25 0£ the Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1960,
as amended, is hereby further amended in the following respects:
Section i. Subparagraphs "h" and "i" of Paragraph 4, Subsection (b) of
Section 69, as amended, is hereby deleted.
Section 2a Subsection (b) of Section 83 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"(b) No pedestrian shall enter upon or cross any roadway or portion
of any roadway designated by the Board of Supervisors as closed
to pedestrian traffic, except within an authorized marked cross-
walk, or upon a pedestrian overpass, or through a pedestrian
tunnel.
The following roadways or portions of roadways are hereby
designated as closed to pedestrian traffic:
1. Hawaii Belt Road in North Hilo, from the south end of
Hakalau Bridge to a point one-half mile south from the
Chin Chuck Road-Mamalahoa Highway intersection.
2. Hawaii Belt Road in South Hilo from the Kaieie Homestead
Road south to the Onomea Sugar Mill Cane Haul Road in
Papaikou."
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
