ORDINANCE N0. 117
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 25 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII 1960, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 113 AND 114, PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION OF
TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
That Ordinance No. 25 of the Revised Ordinances of the County o£ Hawaii 1960, as
amended, is hereby further amended in the following respects:
Section 1. Section 113 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 113. Duty to report accidents.
The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury
to or death of any person or total property damage to an apparent extent
o£ one hundred dollars or more, shall immediately or as soon thereafter as
possible report such accident to the police department.
The police department may require any driver of any vehicle involved
in an accident of which a report must be made as required in this section,
to file supplemental reports whenever the original report is insufficient
in the opinion of said department."
Section 2. Section 114, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"Section 114. Garage keeper to report on accidents.
The person in charge of any garage or repair shop to which is brought
any motor vehicle which shows evidence o£ having been involved in an acci-
dent resulting in damages to an apparent extent of one hundred dollars or
more or struck by any bullet shall report to the police department immedi-
ately after such vehicle is received giving the license number and engine
number of the vehicle and the name and address of the owner or driver of
such vehicle, excepting motor vehicles to which have been affixed an of-
ficial Damaged Vehicle Sticker showing the extent o£ damages, date of oc-
curence, and license number. This sticker shall remain affixed to the
motor vehicle until repairs have been completed."
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
