SECTION 1. Definitions.
a. "Iyiobile home" means any vehicle or similar
portable struct~-rr having ne foundation ;tiler than
wheels, jacks or blocks and so designed or constructed
as to permit oceu;Nancy fo.r dwelling or steeping purposes.
h. "Mobile home park" means any plot of ground
upon which two or more mobile harnes occupied for dwelling
cr sleeping purposes are located regardless, of whether or
not a charge is made for :>'ach accommodation,
c. "Person" means any natural indvi-dual, firm,
trust, partnership, association or corporation.
SECTION 2. License. It shall be unlawful for any person
tc maintain or operate a mobile home park withi-n the County of
Hawaii, unless such perso-~ shall. first obtain a license th>.refor.
SECTION 3. ApplicationfLr license.
a. Application For initial license. Application
for an initial mo'oile home park 1-icense shall be filed
with and issued by the Flanni-ng and Traffic Commissi.~-~n.
The application stall i_>e in writing, signed by the
applicant, and sha].1 include the following:
1. The name and add ress of tl;e apk%licant;
2, The locat ion and 1-ega l desc ription of t1.e
mobile honk park;

3. A certificate of approval from the State
Department of Health showing compliance wi-th
Chapter 15, Public 'health Regulations, Department
of iealth, State of Hawaii.; and
4. Such further information as may be requf=.sted
by the Planning and Traffic Commission to enable it
to determine if the proposed park will be compatible
with exi-sting and, proposed land uses and complies
with all legal. requirements.
If the applicant is of good moral character, and the
proposed mobile home park will, when constructed or
altered. in accordance with such plans and specificati~:~ns,
be in compliance with all provisions of this ordinance
and all other applicable statutes, ordinances and
reyulati_ons, the }Tanning and Traffic. Commission may
apF?rove the applicaticn, and upon completion of t:he park
according to the plans shall issue the license.
b. Application for transfer cf license. Upor,
application in writing for transfer of- a license, the
Planning and Traffic Commission shall issue a transfer
if the transferee is of good moral. character.
SECTION 4. Al.l mobile homes shall conform to the Building
Code, County of Hawaii, and the Housing Code (Chapter 2 of
the Public ';ealth kegulaticns), except:
a. `u'dhen parked in a licensed mobile home park;
b. 'vlhen occupied for dwelling or sleeping purposes
outside of a licensed mobile home park for less than
thirty (30) days in any one location.
