ORDINANCE N0. 166
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 25 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII 1960, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 69, PERTAINING~TO THE REGULATION OF
TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF' HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Subsection (b) of Section 69, as amended, is hereby further
amended in the following respects:
(a) By adding subparagraphs "q" and "r" to Paragraph 4 thereof to
read as follows:
"q. Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea, from a point 4,000 feet Kona
to a point 5,500 feet Honokaa (Fukushima Store) of the
intersection of the Waimea to Hawi Road with Mamalahoa
Highway, except when the school zone limit is in effect.
r. The Waimea to Hawi Road in Waimea, £rom Mamalahoa Highway
to the beginning of Project FoA.P. E 11A, except when the
school zone limit is in effect."
(b) By deleting Subparagraphs "a," "h," and "i" of Paragraph 4.
(c} By adding Subparagraphs "h," "i," "j," and "k" to Paragraph 5
thereof to read as follows:
"h. Kanoelehua Avenue, from Kamehameha Avenue to a point
500 £eet south of Pookela Street.
i. The Mahukona to Niulii Road, from a point 2,400 £eet on
the Mahukona side to a point 650 feet on the Hawi side of
the beginning of Project S 203(2) in Kokoiki, Kohala
j. The Mahukona to Niulii Road, from the west end o£ the
Kahei House Lots to a point ].,325 feet on the Niulii
side of the Hawi Road junction at Hawi, Kohala,
k. The Mahukona to Niulii Road, from a point 350 feet on
the Hawi side of the access road to Kohala High and
Elementary School to a point 500 feet on the Niulii
side of the end of Project S 203(2), at Kapaau, Kohala."
(d} By delotirg Subparagraphs "a," and "b" of Paragraph 5

read as follows:
"p. The Waimea to Hawi Road in Waimea, from a point 2O~ feet
Hawi of the access road to the Hawaii Preparatory Academy
to the beginning of Project F.A.P. D 11A.

"8. Forty miles per hour in the following areas:
a. Mamalahoa Highway iri Waimea, from a point 500 feet
Honokaa of the old CCC Camp to a point x,500 feet
Honokaa (Fukushima Store} of the Waimea to Hawi Road."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
