ORDINANCE NO. 274
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1960, AS AMENDED, BY CREATING A NEW
NEIGHBORHOOD SHOPPING DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF HILO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 20 of the Revised Ordinances of
the County of Hawaii 1960, as amended, is hereby further amended
by adding a new section after Section 10-B to read as follows;
"Section 10-C. Neighborhood Shopping District V
"Neighborhood Shopping District V shall contain all
of the area described as follows;
"Ail of that certain piece or parcel of land
situate at Waiakea, District of South Hilo, County
and State of Hawaii, being a portion of the land
described in Land Patent Grant No. 11,11L~ issued
to Hayako Matsui, and being a portion of Lot 715-A,
Waiakea Homesteads, known as Lot 1, and, more
particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows;
"Beginning at the northwest corner of this
parcel of land and on the south side of Kawailani
Street, the coordinates of said point of beginning
referred to government survey triangulation station
~HALAI~ being 11995.oLF feet south and LF807.96 feet
east, and running by azimuths measured clockwise
from true south:
i. 265° 40~ 287.71 feet along th,e south side
of Kawailani Street;

2• 37 32r L}31.09 feet along the northwest side
of a LF()-foot homestead road;
3. 175° L}0~ 321.03 feet along the east boundary
of Lot 715-B, Waiakea r[omesteads,
to the point of beginning and
containing a gross area of L~6,182
square feet.
"EXCEPTING AND RESERVING, therefrom an old 20-f cot
railroad right-of-way, crossing near the southerly
corner of the above described lot, said right-of-way
containing an area of 1,250 square feet, and leaving
a net area of L~.,932 square feet.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1960, AS AMENDED, BY CREATING A NE:~T
NEIGHBORHOOD SHOPPING DISTRIC'P IN THE CITY OF HILO.
This Bill creates Neighborhood Shopping District "V"
situated at the mauka side of the junction of Kawailani
and Ainaola streets.

1964 - Date Effective: August 5, 1964

in the Office of the County Clerk for use and examination
by the public.
