ORDINANCE N0. 275
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 20 OF IIIE REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1960, AS AMENDED, THE LAND USE ORDINANCE,
BY CREATIPdG A P1E'v'J RESIDENTIAL ZONE IN THE CITY OF HILO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TfiE BOARll OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY
OF HABJAII;
SECTION 1. Ordinance No, 20 of the Revised Ordinances of
the County of Hawaii 1960, as amended, is hereby further amended
by adding a new residential zone, numbered 43-E after Section 43-D,
to read as follows:
"Section 43-E, Residential Zone 1)-VI.
Residential Zone D-VI shall contain all. of the area
bounded as follows:
Beginning at the 1'.amakua boundary of Block 58 of Mokaulele
Heights Subdivision, LJaiakea, Hilo, Hawaii, and the mauka
side of Popolo Street and running in a clockwise direction
as follows:
1. P+Iauka along the Hamakua boundary of Block 58 of-
P+Iokaulele Heights Subdivision for a distance of
117 feet;
2. Northwest along a straight line parallel to 1?opolo
:street, for a distance of 1,130 feed to the south
boundary of Parcel 29, Grant 7655, 'rJaiakea Cane Lots,
~Jaiakea, South Hilo, hawaii;
3. Along the south boundary of Parcel 29, Grant 7655,
SJaiakea Cane Lots, to the mauka side of the proposed
extension of Popolo Street;
4. The mauka side of the proposed extension of I?opolo
Street from the south boundary of I='arcel 29, Grant
7655, `~Jaiakea Cane Lots, along Popolo Street to the
point of beginning and containing a.n area of
approximately 2.II7 acres."
SECTION 2. Ordinance Ito. 268 is hereby repealed,

This Bill creates a new residential zone "D-VI" in
Lana?cila Heights on the mauka side of and fronting F'opolo
Street.
Date Introduced: August 5, 1964 - Date Approved: August 19,
1964 - Date Effective: August 19, 1964.
Copies of the foregoing Ordinance, in full, are on f'.ile
in the Office of the County Clerk for use and examination
by the public.
