AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CRDIPdANCE T1O. 250, PRESCRIBING A
STANDARD OF CONDUCT FOR COUNTY PERSONNEL AND PROVIDING FOR
ITS ADMIPIISTRATI0N, PERTAINING TO CONIPATIBLE EMPLOYMENT ATQD

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF' THE COUN"fY 0=

SECTION 1, Section 3 E of Ordinance No. 250 of the
County of Hawaii is hereby amended. to read as. follows:
"E. Compatible Employment. Pdo public servant
shall engage in any private business or transaction

or employment which conflicts directly or indirectly
with the proper discharge of his official duties, He
shall report the nature of any outside work and
conditions of such employment to the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Hawaii when requested by the County
Chairman or by the Board of Supervisors,"
SECTION 2. Section 3 F of Ordinance TJo. 250 of the
County of Hawaii is hereby amended to read as follows:
"F. Gifts and Favors, No public servant may accept
any gift, favor, service, or loan with the understanding
that the same may influence him in the proper discharge
of his official duties, but nothing contained herein
shall preclude the acceptance of contributions for
campaign purposes,"
SECTIUN 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

ORDINANCE NO. 281
(Bill No. 317 - 1964)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 250, PRESCRIBING A
STANDARD OF CONDUCT FOR COUNTY PERSONNEL AND PROVIDING FOR
ITS ADMINISTRATION, PERTAINING TO COMPATIBLE EMPLOYMENT AND
GIFTS AND FAVORS.
This Bill amends Section 3 E and Section 3 F of
Ordinance No. 250, pertaining to compatible employment and
gifts and favors.
