5,3CTION 1. Section 48 of Ordinance No. 25, The Traffic
Code, of the kevised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1950,
as amended, pertaining to the required position and method of
turning at an intersection, as amended by Ordinance No. 2:38,
is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"i3ECTI0IV` 48. Required positio^ and method of
turning at intersections. The driver of a vehicle
intending to turn at an intersection shall do so as
follows:
"(a) Right Turns. Both the approach for a
right turn and a right turn shall be made as close
as }practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of
the roadway.
"(b) Left Turns. The driver of a vehicle
intending to turn left at any intersection shall
approach the intersection in the extreme left hand
portion of the roadway lawfully available to traffic
moving in the same direction of said vehicle and

after entering the-~ intersection the left turn shall

be made so as to leave the intersection in a lane

upon the roadway being entered.

n(c) Zn all cases where official marks, buttons
or signs are ,laced wit:hin or adjacent to inter-
sections, no driver of a vehicle shall execute a
turn at such intersections otherwise than as
directed and required by such markers, buttons
or signs."

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 25, THE TRAFFIC CODE, OF
THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1960, AS AMENDED,
BY FURTHER AMENDING SECTION 48 PERTAINING TO THE REQUIRED
POSITION AND METHOD OF TURNING AT AN INTERSECTION.
This Bill provides for the required position and
method of making the proper- right turns and left turns
at an intersection.
