ORDINANCE N0. 3u'_'
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 25, THE TRAFFIC CODE OF
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANC'.E N0, 123,
PERTAINING TO VEHICLE EQUIPMENT,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ]:N AND FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1, Subsection (a) of Section 91,04 is hereby
amended by deleting the last paragraph thereof. Said subsection
shall read as follows:
"(a) The Chief of Police shall at least once each
year, but not more frequently than twice each year,
require that every motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer,
and pole trailer registered in the: county be inspected
and that an official certificate of inspection and
approval be obtained for each such vehicle.
"Every motor vehicle which hers been properly
inspected and had received a certificate of inspection
shall display a valid safety stickier in compliance
with the provisions of Section 90.43.
"Such inspections shall be made and such
certificates obtained with respect: to the mechanism,
brakes, and equipment of every suc;h vehicle as shall
be designated by the Chief of Police.
"The official inspection period shall begin on
January 1 and terminate on March :!1 of each year."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
