ORDINANCE N0. 311
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 183, THE INTERIM ZONING
ORDINANCE, RELATING TO PROPERTY USES FOR ONE-FAMILY DWELLINGS.
BE IT ORDAIPIED BY THE BOARll OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF

SECTION 1. Subsection 1 of Section 4 of Ordinance No. 183,
as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"l. One-family dwellings; provided th+~t no such, dwelling
shall be constructed on any lot h+~ving an area of
less than one (1) acre; and, that wherever practicable,
the minimum width of such lots sh<sll be not less than
150 feet; provided, further, that this area requirement
shall not apply to the building o:E a single family
dwelling on a lot less than one (:L) acre in area
where the boundaries of such lot were established
prior to the effective date of this ordinance;
provided, also, that if more than one such dwelling
is to be constructed on any lot, tYiere must be at
least one (1) acre for each dwell:Lng; and that
wherever practicable, the minimum width for such
lots shall be not less than one hundred fifty (150)
feet for the first acre of required area plus twenty
(20) feet for each additional one•-half acre of
required area except that no building site shall be
required to have an average width of greater than
three hundred (300) feet, There may be the usual
necessary accessory buildings in connection with any
such dwelling, including a private garage of such.
size as may be necessary for the occupants of the
dwelling as well as buildings used for servants'
quarters."
SECTION 2,. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 183, THE INTERIM. ZONING
ORDINANCE, RELATING TO PROPERTY USES FOR ONE-FAMILY DWELLINGS.
'Phis Bill states that wherever practicable, the
minimum width of lot sizes of one (1) acre shall be not.
less than one hundred fifty (150) feet and twenty (20)
feet for each additional one-half acre of required area,
except that no building site shall be required to have
an average width of greater than three hundred (300) feet.
There may be the usual necessary accessory buildings in
connection with any such dwelling, including a private
garage of such size as may be necessary for the occupants
of the dwelling as well as buildings used for servants'
quarters.
