ORDINANCE N0. 326
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 25, TRAFFIC CODE OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII, BY AMENDING SECTION 6 PERTAINING TO TRAFFIC
ENGINEERING AND AUTHORIZING THE DISTRICT ENGINEER OF THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, HIGHWAYS DIVISION, TO PLACE AND
MAINTAIN OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES, .SIGNS, SIGNALS AND
MARKINGS ON STATE MAINTAINED HIGHWAYS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 6 of Ordinance No. 25, Traffic Code
of the County of Hawaii, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 6. Traffic Engineering. Subject to
Section 5 of this ordinance, the Department of Public
Works of the County of Hawaii is hereby authorized,
and as to those devices, signs, signals and markings
required for the purpose of traffic control, it shall
be its duty to place and maintain or cause to be placed
and maintained all official traffic control devices,
signs, signals and markings, and subject to said Section
5 of this ordinance the District Engineer of the State
Department of Transportation, Highways Division, may,
on State maintained highways, place and maintain official
traffic control devices, signs, signals and markings
consistent with standards approved by the American
Association of State Highway Officials. All devices,
signs, signals and markings required for the purpose
of traffic control shall so far as practicable be

its approval.

ESTIMATED REVENUES, RECEIPTS AND SURPLUS FOR EXPENDITURE FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1965.
These Bills amend Ordinance No. 300 by Revising Estimated
Revenues for the year 1965.
