X41 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND PORTION OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF HI LO BY CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR CERTAIN AREAS OF LAND FROM OPEN SPACE USE TO RESORT USE AT WAIAKEA PENINSULA AND FROM RESIDENTIAL USE TO LIGHT INDUSTRIAL USE AT WAIAKEA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. 11 portion of the General Plan of Hilo as formulated in the "Plan for the Metropolitan Area of Hilo" is hereby amended by changing the land use designation of a certain area of land situated at Waiakea Peninsula, South Hilo, Hawaii, from open space use to resort use. The boundaries of the said resort use shall be described as follows: An area bounded by Kanakea Street, makai side of Banyan Drive, Cocoanut Island Road and Hilo Bay in Waiakea Peninsula, South Hilo, Hawaii, as outlined in red and designated as "Resort Use, Resolution No. 61" on the map attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A," and by reference made a part hereof. SECTION 2. A portion of the General Plan of Hilo as formulated in the "Plan for the Metropolitan Area of Hilo" is hereby amended by changing the land use designation of a certain area of land situated at Vlaiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii, from residential use to light industrial use.
