This bill creates a County Traffic Commission consisting of nine (9) voting members, with one representative each from the Police Department, Division of State Highways, and the County Public Works Department as non-voting advisory members. This Bill amends Ordinance No. 340, by revising estimated revenue for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1966. Date Introduced: March 2, 1966 - Date Approved: March 22, 1966 - Date Effective: March 22, 1966 Copies of the foregoing Ordinances, in full, are on file in the Office of the County Clerk for use and examination by the public. ~~ COUNTY CLERK ~-~ COUNTY OF HAWAII BILL N0, 380 COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII ORDINANCE N0, 344 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 305 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1960, RELATING TO THE COUNTY TRAFFIC COMMISSION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII; SECTION 1, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 305 of the Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1960, is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 1. Creation of County Traffic Commission. There is hereby created a County Traffic Commission which shall consist of nine (9) members, with one representative each from the Police Department, Division of State Highways, and the County Public Works Department as non-voting advisory members. The nine (9) voting members shall be appointed by the Chairman and Executive Officer of the Board with the approval of the Board of Supervisors and shall hold office for three (3) years or until their successors are appointed and qualified; provided that of the members originally appointed hereunder three (3) members shall be appointed for a term expiring January 1, 1966, three (3) members for a term expiring January 1, 1967, and three (3) members for a term expiring January 1, 1968; thereafter every appointment shall be made for a term of three (3) years commencing from the date of the expiration of the last preceding term. Any vacancy shall be filled by appointment for the remainder of the unexpired term." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
