AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 66(a) and 90.19(c) of ORDINANCE
N0. 25 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1960,
AS AMENDID.
This Bil]. permits a change-over to blue emergency lights
on all police vehicle.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 66(a) and 90.19(c) of ORDINANCE
NO. 25 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1960,
AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 66(a) of Ordinance No, 25 of the
Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1960, as amended,
is hereby amended to read as follows;
"(a) Upon the immediate approach of an authorized
emergency vehicle equipped with at least one lighten
lamp exhibiting a red or blue light visible under
normal atmospheric conditions from a distance of five
hundred feet to the front of such vehicle or when the
driver is giving audible signal by siren, exhaust
whistle or bell."
SECTION 2. Section 90.19(c) of Ordinance No, 25 of the
Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1960, as amended,
is hereby amended to read as follows;
"(c) A police vehicle when used as an authorized
emergency vehicle may but need not be equipped with
alternating flashing blue lights specified herein."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
