APPEAR BEFORE THE BOARll OF SUPERVISORS.

SECTION 1. Power and authority shall be and is hereby
given, created and vested in and to thc; Chairman of the Board of
Supervisors of the County of fiawaii, ;when countersigned by the
Clerk and over the Seal of the County of Hawaii duly affixed, to
summon or to subpoena persons to appear before the Board of
Supervisors of the County cf Hawaii, upon the request in writing
of and by parties interested in said matter then pending before
the Board of Supervisors of 'the County of Hawaii, State of Hawaii,
to the County Clerk, or to the Chairman cf the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Hawaii, stating that said persons are necessary
and needed for the full understanding and legal determination of
such said matters before the said Board of Supervisors.
SECTION 2. The person er persons so summoned shall. receive
and be paid out of and from the General Fund of the County of
Hawaii, upon claims duly certified as by ordinance provided and
regulated, the rate of 10 cents a mile, going and coming, and
$1.00 a day during actual attendance before the Board of Supervisors,
County of Hawaii.
SECTION 3. Whosoever shall fail to appear and attend and
otherwise violate any section of this ordinance shall be fined in
a sum not exceeding $100.00 at the discretion of the District
DMagistrate.
