AN ORDTNANCE CREATING TH??, POSi`I'ION 01~' "FIRST ASSISTANT PURCHASING
AGEI'dT, COUNTY OF HnI<JAII ,"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE;'30A12D OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAIJAII:
SECTION 1, Pursuant to the provis_~_ons of Section 146-32,
Revised Laws cf Hawaii 1955, there is hereby created the position
of "First Assistant Purchasing Agent, County of Hawaii."
SECTIODI 2. The "First Assistant Purchasing Agent, County of
Hawaii," shall be appointed by the Chairman with the approval of the
Board of Supervisors,
SECTION 3. The "Fi.rst Assistant Purchasing Agent, County of
Hawaii," shall among other thin~,.s assist the Purchasing Agent,
County of Hawaii, in carrying out the provisions of Part III,
Chapter 146, Revised Laws of Hawaii 1955, the duties and
responsibilities of which are more specifically set forth in said
chapter, The "';'first z'issistant Purchasing r;gent, County of Hawaii,"
shall have the -responsibility of and shall perform the duty of
reviewing, inspecting snd checking items container' in inventories of
county properties filed with the Board of Supervisors during the
month of January oi` each year as required by statute, in order to
ascertain the correctness thereof and to make reports thereon to
the Chairman of the Board o{ Supervisors; he shall supervise the
work of others assigned to a;_;sist in reviewing, inspecting and/or
checking inventories aforesaid; and he shall assume such
responsibilities and perforn such other related duties as may be
required of him by the Cha~irr:an of -the Board of Supervisors.
SliCTION 4. The i...crm o~ office of the "First Assistant Purchasing
Agent, County of Hawaii," shall begin at 12:OC o'clock noon on the
second day of 7anuarr of ever;' odd year and s'~all expire at 12:00
o'clock noon on the seoond da}~ of January every second year thereafter;
provided, however, that the f:i.rst term of office of the "First
Assistant Purchasing /.gent, County of Havaaii," shall begin on
February 16, 1945, and shall expire at 12:00 o'clock noon on the
second day of .January, 1947.
SECTION 5, The "First Assistant Purchasing Agent, County of
Hawaii.," shall be paid such montY~~ly salary by the Board of
Supervisors as shall be provided for by the Board in compliance with
the prevailing classification law.
