AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CHILDREN UidDER SIX (6) YEARS OF AGE IN
PUBLIC STREETSF~;J :?:;OJIDIDIG PEDIALTIES FOli VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARll OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUIQTY OF

SECTION 1. No child under the age of six (6) years shall
be permitted to go or remain on any public streea or highway in
the County of Hawaii, except in the company of his parent,
guardian or an adult person, provided, this section shall not be
applicable where such child is going 'to or from schools or
kindergartens, public or private.
SECTION 2. .'1ny parent or guardian, having the care,
custody and control of a child -under the age of six (6) years,
who shall knowingly, voluntarily or carelessly suffer or permit
such child to go or remain on any public street or highway in
the County of Hawaii unaccompanied by an adult person when such
child is not going to or from schools or kindergartens, public
or private, shall be punished ;:~y a fine of not less than Five
Dollars 05.00) and not more Than One Hundred Dollars 0100.00).
