AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A CURFEiT OId 1iINORS AND Ili4POSING PENALTIES
FOR THE VIOLATION THEP.EOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY
OF HAVIAII:
SECTION 1. No person under the age of fi]-teen (15) years
shall remain or loiter on any public street, highway, park or any
other public place, including any establishmeni_ catering to the
public wherein food, drink, entertainment, or recreational
activities are provided, between the hours of 9:30 P.I~'I, and
4:00 A.P~I. except in case of necessity or unless accompanied by
his or her parent, legal guardian, or an authorized person 18 years
or older.
SECTION 2. No person under the age of eighteen (18) years
shall remain or loiter on any public street, highway, park or any
other public place, including any establishment catering to the
public wherein food, drink, entertainment, or recreational activities
are provided, between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 4:00 A,:I.
unless accompanied by his or her parent, legal guardian, or an
authorized person 18 years or older,
SECTIODI 3. Any minor violating this ordir_ance shal:Lbe dealt
with as prescribed by law.
SECTION 4. Any parent or legal guardian of a person under
the age of eighteen (18) years who Y.nowingly permits him or her to
violate either Section 1 or Section 2 hereof shall b.e fined not more
than $500.00.
SECTION 5. Any keeper of an establishment catering to the
public wherein food, drink, entertainment, or recreational activities
are provided who knowingly permits any child under the age of
fifteen (15) years to remain or loiter upon the premises between
the hours of 9;30 P.iI. and 4;00 A.Id„ unless the child is accompanied
by his or her parent, legal guardian, or an authorized person
eighteen (18) years or older, or who knowingly permits a child
between the ages of fifteen (15) and eighteen (18) years to remain
or loiter upon said premises between the hours of 12 00 midnight
and 4;00 A,'t+I, unless accompanied by his or her parent, legal
guardian, or an authorized person shall be fined not more than
$25.00.
