ORPIAIANCE N0. 42
AN ORDINANCE RELATIiIG TO THE UNREASONABLE IiND EXTRA USE OF
HIGHPJAYS ,
BE IT ORDAIDtED BY TI-Ls BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII;
SECTION 1, It shall be unlawful for any person to draw, drag,
push or otherwise transport any lumber or combination of lumber and
other things, any flume, plow, has row, cultivator or other
agricultural implement or other machine or part of machine: upon or
across any public road or highway within the County of Hawaii in
such a manner that such drawing, dragging, pushing or transportation
shall in any manner scratch, mar, excavate or damage any portion of
such road or highway,
SECTION 2, It shall be unlawful for any person owning,
working upon, driving, propelling or in charge o:F any wagon, cart
or other wheeled conveyance to permit the pole, ;swing bar or any
portion of, or any part of the contents of any such cart, wagon
or other wheeled conveyance, excepting the- wheels, to touch, drag
or come in contact wits. any portion of such highway or road in such
manner as to scratch, mar or excavate the road or. public highway.
SECTION 3, Clhoever shall violate any of the provisions of
this Ordinance shall be fined a sum not exceeding One Hundred
Dollars (:x100,00) in the discretion of the magist=rate or Court
having jurisdiction thereof,
