ORDINANCE N0. SO
AN ORDINANCE TO PROTECT PUBLIC GROUPIDS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAVTAII:
SECTIODI 1. That it shall be the duty of the Chief of Police
of the County of Hawaii to protect lawns, gardens, grass plots and
other cultivated grounds belonging to the State of Hawaii or the
County of Hawaii within the said County, and of all such laoms,
gardens, grass plots and other cultivated grounds of a public
nature within said County, and to place or cause to be placed on
such places, signs and notices warning persons to keep off such
places.
SECTION 2. Any person who shall trespass or walk on or over
any such lawns, garden, grass plot or other cultivated ground, on
which there shall be any such sign or notice shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in a sum not less
than Two Dollars and Fifty Cents (x2.50) and not more than Twenty-
Five Dollars (:25.00), in the discretion of the District Magistrate
or other judge having jurisdiction of the cause.
