COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
ORDINANCE N0. S1
AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE MOTOR VEHICLE DEALERS' LICENSING
BOARD TO BE AN AGENCY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COUNTY TREASURER;
PROVIDING FOR THE DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF SAID AGENCY; AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 13.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Organization. The Motor Vehicle Dealers'
Licensing Board heretofore created by statute shall be an
agency of the County under the jurisdiction of the Department
of County Treasurer. The appointment to and membership on the
Board shall be as provided by statute.
SECTION 2. Term of Office. The term of office of the
members of the Board shall be as provided by statute.
SECTION 3. Powers, Duties and Functions. The powers,
duties and functions of the Board shall be as provided by
statute.
SECTION 4. Administration of Funds and Personnel. The
function of administering the funds appropriated for the
operations of the Board shall be vested in the County Treasurer,
and the County Treasurer shall be empowered to take all necessary
personnel actions with reference to employees of the Board.
Neither the Board nor its members shall in any way interfere
with the administrative affairs of the Department of County
Treasurer.
SECTION 5. Repeal. Ordinance No. 13 of the Revised
Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take
effect upon its approval.

This Bill states that the Motor Vehicle Dealers Licensing
Hoard created by statute shall be an agency of the County under
the jurisdiction of the Department of County Treasurer. Except
for the Administration of Hinds and personnel, the appointment to
and membership on the Board, term of office, the powers, duties
and functions of the Board shall be as provided by statute.
