N0. 474 COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII ORDINANCE N0. _ 101 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 7-A-1 AND 7-B-1 OF ORDINANCE N0. 61, REVISED ORDINANCES OF TFJE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, RELATING TO SEWER SERVICE CHARGES, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Section 7-A-1 of Ordinance No. 61, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended by Ordinance No. 75, is hereby further amended to read as follows: "A. Schedule of Rates. "1, Based on Metered-Water Consumption. Monthly charges for sewer service shall be based on a percentage of the total charge for metered-water consumption as may be aoplicable to each lot, land, building, dwelling or premises, provided that water consumed for the purposes of coolers or swimming pools shall not be included in water consumption totals on which these percentages are based. Such percentages of total charges shall. be 50 percent for 'the district of North Kona and 75 percent for all other districts in the County of Hawaii. Provided, however, that: "a. In the case of single residences or service stations a maximum charge of five dollars monthly shall not be exceeded, "b. In the case of multiple residences, a maximum charge of five dollars multiplied by the number of families occupying said multiple residence shall not be exceeded, "c. In the case of industries in which a substantial proportion of metered-water consumed does not enter into the sewer system, service charges shall be based upon the applicable percentage of total charges on the proportion of +netered-water entering the sewer system." SECTION 2. Section 7-B-1 of Ordinance No. 61, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby amended to read as follows: "B. Billinq, Collection, and Payment of Charges. "1. Billinq of Charges. The sewer service charge levied pursuant to this ordinance shall be collected by the Bureau of Sewers. Billing shall be made monthly for commercial and industrial users and bi-monthly for residential properties. Payments shall be made within thirty (30) days after billing. A ten percent penalty shall be imposed upon accounts which are sixty (60) or more days overdue." SECTION 3. approval.
