AN ORDINANCE A6iENDING SUBSECTION 1,10(0) OF THE UNIFORM
PLU1tiiHING CODE, 1964 EDITION, AS ADOPTED AND AMENDED BY
ORDIiJANCE NO. 60, REVISED ORDINANCr'.S OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
1967, AS ANiEND;D BY ORDIIQALQCc~ NO. 76.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COULVTY OF
HAWAII;
SECTION 1. Subsection (c) of Section 1,10 of the Uniform
Plumbing Code, 1964 r;dition, as adopted and amended by Ordinance
No. 60, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as
amended by Ordinance i~?o. 76, is hereby amended to read as
followso
"(c) Any permit required by this code may be issued
to any person who owns and occupies or will occupy a
single family dwelling used exclusively for living
purposes, including the usual accessory buildings,
provided that the person shall successfully pass an
oral or written examination at the discretion of the
Bureau of Building Construction and Inspection which
shall be administered by the Bureau of Building Construction
and Inspection, the structure and contents of sald
examination being formulated by the Board of Plumber
Examiners, provided further that, upon said successful
completion and prior to the issuance of the permit granted
hereunder, said owner shall file an affidavit to the
effect that he is the bona fide owner of a dwelling
house to be built and that he shall personally occupy
same; and performs all plumbing or drainage work for
said dwelling and accessory building."
SECTIOly 2. Ordinance No, 76 is hereby repealed.
