ORDINANCE NOo 146
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 39, REVISED ORDINANCES OF
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967+ REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON PUBLIC STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII] BY ADDING THERETO A NEW
SIXTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR SPEED ZONE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 10-5(i) of Ordinance No. 39, Revised
Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby amended by
the addition of a new subsection to read as follows:
"5, The Kawaihae-Mahukona Road, from a point 1`000
feet south of Honokoa Bridge to a point 250 feet south
of the access road to Mahukona Harbor."

THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON PUBLIC STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW

This Bill amends Section 10-5(i) by adding a new subsection,

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 118, REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE COIINTY OF HAWAII 1967, RELATING TO THE BUILDING CODE
BY ADDING THERETO TWO NEW SECTIONS SUSPENDING THE ISSUANCE
OF BUILDING PERMITS ON PROPERTIES SIIRROUNDING CERTAIN
CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL SITES.
This Bill amends Ordinance No. 118, Revised Ordinances of
the County of Hawaii 1967, Building Code, by stating the findings of the
Board of Supervisors as it relates to cultural and historical
assets of this community and suspends the issuance of building
permits to erect and construct buildings or structures higher than
three (3) stories within 300 feet from historical or cultural sites
listed in Ordinance No, 147 for a period of 60 days from the
effective date of this Ordinance.
