ORDINANCE N0. ,~`~
AN ORDINANCE ESTHBLIS}SING A POLICY FOR THE DISPOSITION OF
EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND SUPPLIES NOT NEEDED BY ANY AGENCY
OR EXECUTIVE AGENCY OF THE COUNTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Authority of Director of Finance.
The Director of f=inance shall consider requests from
any agency or executive agency of the County which desires to
dispose of any equipment, material, or supply not needed t~y
such agency. He shall determine whether such equipment,
material, or supply should be disposed of, and shall determine
the manner and method by which any sale, exchange, or othF,r
disposition shall. be made. In performing this duty, he may
request; the agency involved to provide information concerning
i;he property to be disposed. Such informai;:ion may include, but
is not limited to, the kind of property and full descri:~tion
thereof; purposes for which the property is used; estimated
value of the pronerty: reasons for disposition; offers, if any,
made for the property.
SECTION 2. Proceeds; records.
All moneys received from the sale or other disposition
of any personal property shall be credited to the fund from
which the purchase of the property was made, or to any other
fund designated at the discretion of the Director of Finance.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

by the public.
