AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 10-5 (SPECIAL~SPEED LIMITS),
12-1 (ONE-WAY STREETS) AND 17-8 (NO PARKING ZONES) OF ORDINANCE
NO, 39 (TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII 1967,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1, Subsection (c) of Section 10-5 of Ordinance
No, 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is
hereby amended by adding a new paragraph to read as follows;
"22, Palani Road from a point 300 feet makai of
Kealakehe School intersection to a point
2,400 feet mauka of this intersection,"
SECTION 2, Item 13 of Section 10-5(e) of Ordinance No, 39,
Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby
amended to read as follows;
"13, Palani Road from the Hawaii Belt Road to
Kuakini Highway except where the 35 miles
per hour speed limit is in effect,"
SECTION 3, Section 12-1 of Ordinance No, 39, Revised
Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 12 -1, ONE-WAY STREETS
(a) The following streets or portions thereof are
designated and shall be sign-posted as one-way streets
to be traveled upon only in the direction indicated:
1, Homelani Laney the entrance to which shall
be at Kapiolani Street and the exit therefrom at
the Ponahawai Street exit nearest the intersection
of said streets,"

SECTION 4, Subsection 2 of Section 17-8 of Ordinance
No, 39a Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967,. is
hereby amended by adding two paragraphs to read as follows;
"b, The Puna side of Manono Street between the entrance
and exit of the Civic Auditorium,
c, The Hamakua side of Manono Street from Kamehameha
Avenue to Piilani Street,"
SECTION 5, This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval,

public.

and final reading at the meeting of the County Council on

AYES: Councilmen Carpenter, De Luz, Edwards, Greenwell,
Matayoshi, Souza, Yadao, Yamada and Chairman Hisaoka - 9.
