ORDINANCE NO, ~~~w
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE
PROVISIONS OF THE COUNTY CHARTER,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1, Definitions, For the purposes of this
ordinance, the following terms, phrases, words and their
derivations shall have the meaning given herein, When not
inconsistent with the context, words used in the present tense
include the future, words in the plural number include the
singular number, and words in the singular number include the
plural number,
a, "Person" is any person, firm, partnership, association,
corporation, company or organization of any kind,
b, "Intentionally" shall mean purposely or knowingly
and wilfully,
SECTION 2. Violations of Charter; Penalties, Any person
who intentionally fails to exercise his duties and responsibilities
as expressed in the Charter of the County of Hawaii, or to heed
the prohibitions provided for therein, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished
by a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500,00) or
by imprisonment in the County Jail for a term not exceeding
six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment,
SEC TIGN 3, Exclusion, The provisions of the above
section shall not apply to Sections 14 -1 to 14-4, inclusive,
of Article XIV of the County Charter,
