AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 59, AS AMENDED, REVISED ORDINANCE
OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, RELATING TO THE ELECTRICAL CODE, BY
AMENDING SECTION 16A, THEREOF RELATING TO ADOPTION OF THE NATIONAL
ELECTRICAL CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 16 of Ordinance No. 59, Revised Ordinances of
the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby amended by amending subsection A
thereof to read:
"A. Adoption of the National Electrical Code. The National
Electrical Code, 1968 Edition, copyrighted 1968 by the National
Fire Protection Association, 60 Batterymarch Street, Boston,
Massachusetts, 02110, is hereby adopted by reference and made
a part hereof. Three copies of said Code shall be kept on
file and be available for public inspection. in the County Clerk's
Office. The scope, technical spec ifications and exemptions set
forth in said code are hereby adopted as the standard for electri-
cal work covered by the Code, provided there are no specific
provision in any other section of this Code. covering the particular
matter."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
