ORDINANCE N0. ~2+'4
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION (c) (THIRTY-FIVE MILES PER
HOUR) OF SECTION 10-5 (SPECIAL SPEED LIMITS) OF ORDINANCE N0. 39
(TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967,
AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Subsection (c) of Section 10-5 of Ordinance
No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is
hereby amended by adding a paragraph to read as follows:
"25. On the Hawaii Belt Road from the north access road
leading to Hookena Beach southward to the beginning
of Project No. BF-O11-1(3) at Papa for the duration
of the construction of said Project."
SECTION 2. The above speed limit shall be in effect for
the duration of the construction of Project No. 11C-02-70 on
the Hawaii Belt Road and upon receiving writ±en notice of
completion of said Project from the District Engineer of the
Highways Division, Department of Transportation, State of Hawaii,
the Department of Public Works of the County of Hawaii shall
remove the 35 miles per hour speed signs governing the affected
area. Upon removal of said signs the speed limit governing said
area prior to the passage of this ordinance shall be restored.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
