ORDINANCE N0. ~"'`r'
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO GRANT
REFUNDS OF PERMIT FEES PAID TO THE COUNTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Director of Finance authorized to grant
refund of permit fees.
The Director of Finance of the County of Hawaii is
hereby authorized to grant the refund of permit fees according
to and in compliance with the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. Written request required; contents of request;
time limit.
Any person, firm, corporation or organization who has paid
a fee established by the County for the issuance bf any permit
shall be entitled to a refund of such fee; provided, that said
person, firm, corporation or organization first submits a written
request to the Director of Finance identifying the issue date,
amount, and nature of the permit; and, provided further, that
said request is received by the Director of Finance within
sixty (60) days from the issue date of the permit.
SECTION 3. Submission of request to responsible agency
for confirmation; amount of refund; minimum charge to be
retained by County.
Upon receipt of a written request for a refund, the
Director of Finance shall record the date of receipt thereupon,
and shall forward said request to the department or agency
deemed responsible for the issuance of the permit. Said
department or agency shall confirm or deny the information
contained in the request pertaining to the issue date, amount,
