COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
ORDINANCE NO. ~91e~
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 9 (STOP AND YIELD INTERSECTIONS--
SPECIAL STOPS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 39 (TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED
ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, BY THE ADDITION OF
NEW PARAGRAPHS AND SUBPARAGRAPHS THERETO DESIGNATING STOP
AND YIELD INTERSECTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 9-4 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised
Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby amended
by the addition of the following paragraph and subparagraph:
"The following are hereby established as 'stop'
intersections and shall be effective when appropriate
signs giving notice thereof are erected:
"A. Hamakua
"1. At the southwest and southeast corners
of the intersection of Mamalahoa
Highway and the plantation road near
the Paauhau Sugar Company Manager's
home."
SECTION 2. Section 9-7 of the above ordinance is hereby
amended by the addition of the following paragraph and
subparagraph:
"The following are hereby established as 'Turn
Right Anytime With Caution' intersections and shall
be effective when appropriate signs giving notice
thereof are erected:
"A. Hamakua
"1. At the northeast corner of the intersection
of Mamalahoa Highway and the plantation
road near the Paauhau Sugar Company Manager's
home."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
