AN ORDINANCE FURTHER AMENDING SECTION 3 AND SECTION 6 OF
ORDINANCE N0. 349 WHICH AMENDED SECTION 14-7 OF ORDINANCE
N0. 39, REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967,
AS AMENDED, BY THE ADDITION OF SUBSECTIONS 3-(i) AND 6-(f)
TO SECTION 14-7 (DRIVING THROUGH SAFETY ZONE PROHIBITED)
AND THE ADDITION OF SUBSECTION 3-(bt) TO SECTION 17-8 (NO
PARKING ZONES).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 349, amending
Section 14-7 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the
County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is further amended by
adding the following subsections:
"3. SOUTH HILO
(i) On the south (Puna) side of Kaumana Drive
from the vicinity of the entrance to Kaumana
School to a point approximately 400 feet
west (mauka) of Lauae Road, a distance of
approximately 4,550 feet."
"6. KONA
(f) On the makai side of Alii Drive from a point
approximately 400 feet south of Hualalai Road
to the junction of Alii Drive with the Kailua-
Keauhou Middle Road (in the vicinity of the
Kona Hilton Hotel)."
SECTION 2. Section 6 of Ordinance No. 349, amending
Section 17-8 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the
County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is further amended by
adding the following subsection:
"3. SOUTH HILO
(bt) On the south (Puna) side of Kaumana Drive
from the vicinity of the entrance to Kaumana
School to a point approximately 400 feet
west (mauka) of Lauae Road, a distance of
approximately 4,550 feet."
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
