ORDINANCE NO. ~ 29
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17-8, NO PARKING ZONES, OF
ORDINANCE NO. 39 (TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Item z of subsection (b)-3 of Section 17-8
of Ordinance No. 39, as amended, is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"z) Mauka side of Kilauea Avenue from 150 feet
north of Lanihuli Street southerly to a
point 227 feet south of Kamana Street."
SECTION 2. The following new items are to be added
to subsection (b)-3 of Section 17-8 of Ordinance No. 39, as
amended:
'bz) Makai side of Kilauea Avenue from Mohouli
Street southerly for a distance of 250 feet.
"ca) Mauka side of Kilauea Avenue from Mohouli
Street northerly for a distance of 150 feet.
"cb) Both sides of Kilauea Avenue from Lanikaula
Street northerly for a distance of 200 feet
and southerly for a distance of 240 feet.
"cc) Both sides of Lanikaula Street from Kilauea
Avenue easterly for a distance of 150 feet."
SECTION 3. Subsection (b)-6 of Section 17-8 of
Ordinance No. 39, as amended, is amended by the addition of
the following new item:
6-KONA
"1) Both sides of the Kona Hospital Road in
Kealakekua, Kona."
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17-8, NO PARKING ZONES, OF ORDINANCE Noe 39
(TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CODNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED,
This Bill proposes to amend Section 17-8(b)3(z) of Ordinance No. 39,
Traffic Code, as amended Dy Section 6 of Ordinance No. 349 by establishing
and designating no-parking zones in South Hilo on the mauka side of Kilauea
Avenue from 150 feet north of Lanihuli Street southerly to a point 227
feet south of Kamana Street; further amends Section 17-8(b)3 by adding
a no parking zone in South Hilo on the makai side of Kilauea Avenue from
Mohouli Street southerly for a distance of 250 feet, mauka side of Kilauea
Avenue from Mohouli Street northerly for a distance of 150 feet, both sides
of Kilauea Avenue from Lanikaula Street northerly for a distance of 200
feet and southerly for a distance of 240 feet, and both sides of Lanikaula
Street from Kilauea Avenue easterly for a distance of 150 feet; and by
further adding in Kona a no parking zone on both sides of the Kona Hospital
Road in Kealakekua, Kona.
