ORDINANCE NO. 'a'+~'~
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND DESIGNATING SPEED LIMIT
ZONES WITHIN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII, BY
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 39 (TRAFFIC CODE), AS AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE NO. 385, REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF IIAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 10-5(e)23 of Ordinance No. 39,
Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby
further amended to read:
"23. Hawaii Belt Road, from a point 800 feet
west to a point 1,200 feet east of intersection of
Lehua Street with the Hawaii Belt Road."
SECTION 2. Section 10-5(i)1 of Ordinance No. 39,
Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby
further amended to read:
"1. Hawaii Belt Road, from Paauilo to a point
700 feet east of the intersection of the Honokaa
Access Road [FASP 5-238(1)] with the Hawaii Belt
Road."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND DESIGNATING SPEED LIMIT 20NES WITHIN
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII, BY AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 39
(TRAFFIC CODE), AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE N0, 385, REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED,
This Bill proposes to amend Ordinance 39, Traffic Code, by amend-
ing Section 10-5, Special Speed Limits, as amended by Ordinance 385,
and Section LO-5(e)23 by creating a 45-miles per hour speed zone on
the Hawaii Belt Road, from a point 800 feet west to a point 1,200
feet east of intersection of Lehua Street with the Hawaii Belt Road;
further amends Section 10-5(i)1 by creating a 65-miles per hour speed
zone on the Hawaii Belt Road, from Paauilo to a point 700 feet east
of the intersection of the Honokaa Access Road with the Hawaii Belt
Road.
