ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND DESIGNATING SPEED LIMIT ZONES
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII , STATE OF HAWAII , BY. AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 39 (TRAFFIC CODE) , REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967 , AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII :
SECTION 1. Subparagraphs (d) 1 and (d) 2 of Section
10-5 of Ordinance No. 39 , Revised Ordinances of the County
of Hawaii 1967 , is hereby repealed.
Section 2 . Section 10-5 (c) 13 and Section 10-5 (c) 17
of Ordinance No. 39 , Revised Ordinances of the County of
Hawaii 1967 , is hereby amended to read:
"13 . Kamehameha Avenue from Ponahawai Street
to Kalanianaole Avenue. "
"17 . Kilauea Avenue from Lono Street to Haihai
Street. "
SECTION 3 . Section 10-5 (b) of Ordinance No. 39 ,
Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967 , is hereby
amended by adding a subparagraph to read:
"5 . Kilauea Avenue from Ponahawai Street to
Lono Street. "
SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND DESIGNATING SPEED LIMIT ZONES WITHIN
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII, BY AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 39
(TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS
AMENDED.
This Bill proposes to amend Ordinance 39, Traffic Code, by amend-
ing Section 10-5, Special Speed Limits, and Section 10-5(c)13 and
Section LO-5(c)17 by creating a 35-miles per hour speed zone on Kame-
hameha Avenue from Ponahawai Street to Ralanianaole Avenue and on
Kilauea Avenue from Lono Street to Haihai Street; further adds
Section LO-5(b)5 by creating a 30-miles per hour speed zone on Kilauea
Avenue from Ponahawai Street to Lono Street.
Date Introduced: November 3, 1971
Copies of the foregoing Bill, in full, are on file in the Office
of the County Clerk for use and examination by the public.
