Home My WebLink AboutORD 1972-445BILL N0. $37 COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII ORDINANCE N0. ~~t ~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19-1 (PARKING METER ZONES) OF ORDINANCE N0. 39 (TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Section 19-1(b)3-b) of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby amended to read as follows: "b) All of that area known as the Bay Front Parking area adjacent to Kamehameha Avenue in the City of Hilo where parking meters are presently installed, except (1) the 23 parking stalls in the second row, the 21 parking stalls in the third row, and the 21 parking stalls in the fourth row of parking stalls along Kamehameha Avenue from Mooheau Park to Haili Street, (2) the 17 parking stalls in the third row and the 16 parking stalls in the fourth row in the area on the Hamakua side of Haili Street, and (3) the 7 parking stalls near the bus terminal, for a total of 105 parking stalls." SECTION 2. Section 19-1(b)4 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby amended to read as follows: "4- EIGHT HOUR PARKING METER ZONES a) The following areas axe designated as maximum of eight (8) hours parking at the rate of five cents ($.OS) for two (2) hours. (1) The following 105 stalls in the Bay Front Parking area adjacent to Kamehameha Avenue in the City of Hilo: (a) The 23 parking stalls in the second row, 21 parking stalls in the third row, and 21 parking stalls in the fourth row of parking stalls along Kamehameha AVenue from Mooheau Park to Haili Street; (b) The 17 parking stalls in the third row and the 16 parking stalls in the fourth row in the area on the Hamakua side of Haili Street; and (c) The 7 parking stalls near the bus terminal." SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval. This Bill proposes to amend Section 19-1, Parking Meter Zones, of Ordinance No. 39, Traffic Code, as amended by Section 15 of Ordinance No. 349 as further amended by Ordinance No. 376 and establishes and designates as 2-hour parking meter zones all of that area known as the Bay Front Parking area adjacent to Kamehameha Avenue in the City of Hilo where parking meters are presently installed, except (1) the 23 parking stalls in the second row, the 21 parking stalls in the third row, and the 21 parking stalls in the fourth row of parking stalls along Kamehameha Avenue from Mooheau Park to Haili Street, (2) the 17 parking stalls in the third row and the 16 parking stalls in t:he fourth row in the area on the Hamakua side of Haili Street, and (3) the 7 parking stalls near the bus terminal, for a total of 105 parking stalls.
