ORDINANCE NO. i5 t
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17-4 (PARKING NOT TO OBSTRUCT
TRAFFIC) OF ORDINANCE NO. 39 (TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED
ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 17-4 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised
Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"SECTION 17-4. NO PARKING ON PAVEMENT
"a. No person shall park any vehicle on
any street designated as a 'no parking on pavement
zone' in such manner or under such condition that
any portion of the vehicle extends over any portion
of the roadway. The following are hereby established
and designated as 'no parking on pavement zones' and
shall be effective when appropriate signs or markings
giving notice thereof are erected or placed:

5. (Reserved)
6. KONA
(a) Alii Drive from Disappearing
Sands Beach to the County park
adjacent to Keauhou Hotel.
7. (Reserved)
"b. In areas other than those mentioned in
Subsection a of this section, no person shall
park any vehicle upon a street, other than an
alley, in such manner or under such condition
as to leave available less than 10 feet of the
width of the roadway for free movement of
vehicular traffic."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
