ORDINANCE NO. 'ft~l
AN ORDIlVANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-5(a) (SPECL9L SPEED LIMITS),
OF ORDINANCE N0. 39, TRAFFIC CODE, REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 10-5(a) of Ordinance No. 39, Revised
Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 196'7, as amended, is
hereby amended by the addition of new items thereto to read
as follows:
"21. Lihiwai Street in Hilo from Kamehameha
Avenue extending through Liliuokalar_i Park and to
its terminal at the intersection with Banyan Drive."
"22. Banyan Way in Hilo from Kalanianaole
Avenue to Banyan Drive."
"23. Banyan Drive in Hilo."
SECTION 2. Subparagraph 3 of Subsection(c) of Section
10-5 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of
Hawaii 1967, as amended, be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-5(a) (SPECIAL SPEED LIMITS), OF ORDINANCE NO. 39,
TRAFFIC CODE, REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED.
This Bill proposes to amend Section 10-5(a)21 and 22 of Ordinance No. 39,
Traffic Code, by creating a 25 miles per hour speed zone on Lihiwai Street in
Hilo from Kamehameha Avenue extending through Liliuokalani Park and to its
terminal at the intersection with Banyan Drive; on Banyan Way in Hilo from
Kalanianaole Avenue to Banyan Drive; and Banyan Drive in Hilo.
This Bill further repeals Section 10-5(c)3, 35 miles per hour speed zone on
Banyan Drive.
Date Introduced: April 19, 1972

County Clerk for use and examination by the public.
