Home My WebLink AboutORD 1972-497BILL NO. g97 COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII ORDINANCE NO. ~~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-5 (SPECIAL SPEED LIMITS), SECTION 9-3 (SIGNS REQUIRED AT THROUGH STREETS), SECTION 9-1 (STOP SIGNS AND YIELD SIGNS), SECTION 19-1 (PARKING METER ZONES), SECTION 17-7 (TIME-LIMIT PARKING ZONES), SECTION 18-1 (PASSENGER LOADING AND UNLOADING ZONES), AND SECTION 17-8 (NO PARKING ZONES) OF ORDINANCE N0. 39 (TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Section 10-5 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding new items to subsection (a) to read as follows: "24. The following streets within the Keauhou Bay Resort Area, North Kona: a. Kamehameha III Road, makai of Alii Drive. b. Holua Road. c. Ehukai Street. d. The unnamed south access road (Access Road B) from Alii Drive into the Keauhou Bay area. e. The cul-de-sac street off Kamehameha III Road in Area 5. "25. The following streets within or in the vicinity of the Alae Point Subdivision, South Hilo: a. Nahala Street. b. Makakai Place. c. Kahoa Street. "26. The following streets in Hualalai Villa, Hilo: a. Hale Nani Street. b. Hale Nani Place." SECTION 2. Section 9-3 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding a new item to paragraph 5 of subsection (b) to read as follows: "g) Lindsey Road, from the Waimea to Kawaihae Road to Hokuula Road." SECTION 3. Section 9-1 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding a new item to paragraph 5 of subsection (c) to read as follows: "c) Entering Hokuula Road from Lindsey Road." SECTION 4. Section 19-1 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding a new item to paragraph 2 of Subsection (b) to read as follows: "n) The five stalls on the Hamakua side of Waianuenue Avenue between the entrance and exit driveways into the Hilo High School grounds and fronting the Administration Building. SECTION 5. Section 17-7 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is hereby -2- further amended by adding a new item to paragraph 2 of subsection (c) to read as follows: "v) The five stalls on the Hamakua side of Waianuenue Avenue between the entrance and exit driveways into the Hilo High School grounds and fronting the Administration Building." SECTION 6. Section 18-1 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding new items to subsection (b) to read as follows: "14 - The Puna-side lane within the unloading area off Waianuenue Avenue at Hilo High School between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on school days. "15 - The Puna-side lane within the unloading area off Waianuenue Avenue at Hilo High School between the passenger shed fronting the Hilo High School cafeteria and the passenger shed near the exit of the unloading area from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on school days." SECTION 7. Section 17-8 of Ordinance No. 39, Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding new items to paragraph 3 of subsection (b) to read as follows "cj) The Hamakua-side lane within the unloading area off Waianuenue Avenue at Hilo High School. "ck) On the Hamakua side of Kaiwiki Road in Kaiwiki Camp." -3- SECTION 8. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
