ORDINANCE N0. `~2'(,
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17-8 (NO PARKING ZONES),
SECTION 17-7 (TIME-LIMIT PARKING ZONES), SECTION 19-1
(PARKING METER ZONES), SECTION 9-3 (SIGNS REQUIRED AT
THROUGH STREETS) AND SECTION 9-1 (STOP SIGNS AND YIELD
SIGNS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 39 (TRAFFIC CODE), REVISED
ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following new items are to be added
to subsection (b)3 of Section 17-8 of Ordinance No. 39, as
amended:
"cl) The mauka-Hamakua (Kaiko'o Mall) side of
Aupuni Street, from the driveway located 450 feet
north of the intersection with Kilauea Avenue and
extending 500 feet around the curve to the driveway
across from the State Building.
"cm) The mauka side of Anela Street, between
Kawailani Street and Puainako Street.
"cn) Kilauea Avenue from Kohola Street to a
point 200 feet north of Lanikaula Street from 7:00 a.m.
to 8:00 a.m, and from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily
except on Sundays and holidays.
"co) The five marked parking stalls on the mauka
side of Kilauea Avenue located on the south side of
the Kilauea Avenue-Mohouli Street intersection from
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily except Sundays and Holidays."
SECTION 2. Items (z) and (aa) of subsection (b )3 of
Section 17-8 of Ordinance No. 39, as amended, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"z) Mauka side of Kilauea Avenue from a point
220 feet south of Barenaba Lane southerly to Kohola
Street, except for the five (5) marked parking stalls
south of the Kilauea Avenue-Mohouli Street intersection.
"aa) Makai side of Kilauea Avenue from Aupuni
Street to Kohola Street."
SECTION 3. Items (ab), (aw), (bn), (bz), and (ca) of
subsection b3 of Section 17-8 of Ordinance No. 39, as
amended, are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. The following new items are added to
subsection (c)2 of Section 17-7 of Ordinance No. 39, as
amended:
"w) The five (5) marked parking stalls on the
mauka side of Kilauea Avenue located on the south
side of the Kilauea Avenue-Mohouli Street intersection
from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily except Sundays and
holidays.
"x) The three (3) marked parking stalls on the
Hamakua (north) side of Mohouli Street adjacent to
Kapiolani School and located within 125 feet from
Kilauea Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily except
Sundays and holidays."

SECTION 5. The following new items are added to
subsection (b )2 of Section 19-1 of Ordinance No. 39, as
amended:
"o) The five (5)marked parking stalls on the
mauka side of Kilauea Avenue located on the south
side of the Kilauea Avenue-Mohouli Street intersection
from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily except Sundays and
holidays.
"p) The three (3) marked parking stalls on the
Hamakua (north) side of Mohouli Street adjacent to
Kapiolani School and located within 125 feet from
Kilauea Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily except
Sundays and holidays."
SECTION 6. Item (br) of subsection (b)3 of Section 9-3
of Ordinance No. 39, as amended, is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"br) ULULANI STREET, from Ponahawai Street
southeasterly to its terminal, except at Hualalai Street
and wailoa Street."
SECTION 7. The following new items are to be added to
subsection (c)3 of Section 9-1 of Ordinance No. 39, as amended:
"n) Entering Hualalai Street from Ululani Street.
"o) Entering Ululani Street from Hualalai Street."

SECTION 8. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its approval.

'Phis Bill creates no parking zones on the mauka-Hamakua
(Kaiko'o Mall) side of Aupuni Street, from the driveway
located 450 feet north of the intersection with Kilauea
Avenue and extending 500 feet around the curve to the drive-
way across from the State Building, on the mauka side of
Anela Street, between Kawailani Street and Puainako Street,
on Kilauea Avenue from Kohola Street to a point 200 feet
north of Lanikaula Street from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m, and
from 4:00 p.m, to 5:00 p.m. daily except on Sundays and holidays,
on the five marked parking stalls on the mauka side of Kilauea
Avenue located on the south side of the Kilauea Avenue-Mohouli
Street intersection from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily except
Sundays and holidays, on the mauka side of Kilauea Avenue from
a point 220 feet south of Barenaba Lane southerly to Kohola
Street, except for the five (5) marked parking stalls south of
the Kilauea Avenue-Mohouli Street intersection and on the mauai
side of Kilauea Avenue from Aupuni street to Kohola Street and
repeals items (ab), (aw), (bn), (bz), and (ca) of subsection b3
of Section 17-8 of Ordinance No. 39, as amended.
This Bill creates time limit parking zones for the five (5)
marked parking stalls on the mauka side of Kilauea Avenue
located on the south aide of the Kilauea Avenue-Mohouli Street
intersection from 7:00 a.m, to 4:00 p.m. daily except Sundays
and holidays and the three (3) marked parking stalls on the
Hamakua (north) side of Mohouli Street adjacent to Kapiolani
School and located within 125 feet from Kilauea Avenue from
7:00 a.m, to 4:00 p.m. daily except Sundays and holidays;
creates parking meter zones for the five (5) marked parking
stalls on the mauka side of Kilauea Avenue located on the
south side of the Kilauea Avenue-Mohouli Street intersection
from 7:00 a.m, to 4:00 p.m, daily except Sundays and holidays
and the three (3) marked parking stalls on the Hamakua (north)
side of Mohouli Street adjacent to Kapiolani School and located
within 125 feet from Kilauea Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
daily except Sundays and holidays; creates parking meter spaces
on Ululani Street, from Ponahawai Street southeasterly to its
terminal, except at Hualalai Street and Wailoa Street; creates
stop signs and yield signs upon entering Hualalai Street from
Ululani Street and upon entering Ululani Street from Hualalai
Street.
