BE IT ORDAINEi) BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTIODI I. Section 1.7-1 (a) of Ordinance No. 39 (Traffic Code) is amended to read as follows: "(a) DIo person shall stop, park, or leave standing any motor vehicle, whether attended or unattended, upon the paved or main travelled part of the highway in this County except in those areas lawfully designated for parking." SECTION 2. Section 17-2 (a) of Ordinance No. 39 shall be amended to read as follows: "(a) 6Vhenever any police officer finds a motor vehicle standing upon a highway in violation of Section 17-1 (a ), s~_ich officer is hereby authorized to move such vehicle, or require the dri~aer or other person in charge of the vehicle to move the same, to a position w}iere the vehicle would not obstruct traffic or off the primary lanes of vehicular travel. upon the inability of the officer to move the vehicle and after the driver or owner refuses or is unable to comply with r,he request to mave the vehicle, or where the driver cannot be ].o sated thereabouts, the officer may cause the vehicle to he towed away at the registered owner or drive=_r's expense."
